Socket Mounting
A Viable and Economic Alternative to Base Plate Mounting
Socket mounting and base plate mounting are very similar. The footing size is the same and the internal reinforcing is similar; The major difference is that instead of anchor bolts, a socket is formed into the base. The pole is then set into the socket and grouted into place with a non-shrink grout.

Advantages of Socket Base Plate Mounting
- Cost savings on base - less concrete needed and no expensive anchor bolts required.
- Ease of installation - no precision fit required, no anchor bolts to line up.
- Costs savings on pole itself - no expensive base plates required on poles.
